POCKET CUBE SOLUTION

This is the solution for the 2x2x2 Rubik's cube.

Step 1

Scramble the cube.

Step 2

Place the white square with the Rubik's cube logo in the bottom right of the top face.

Step 3

For this step you will need to know some Rubik's cube vocabulary.

Complete the top face by using the algorithm Ri Di R D. Place the square below where it needs to go, always in the bottom right corner, then if you repeat the algorithm Ri Di R D the square will be in the correct position. Continue this procedure until you have completed the white face.

Flip the cube so the white face is on the bottom. Now rotate the top face (the face opposite from the white face) so that the squares are in the right position but not necessarilly flipped the right way. You may have to switch two squares to position them correctly. If that is the case use the algorithm Li U L U F Ui Fi. Once you have all of the squares in the right position (not flipped the right way) continue to Step 6.

Step 6

Now you have to flip the squares so the blue sticker faces up. Put an unsolved square in the bottom right of the up face. Use the algorithm Ri Di R D to flip the square (Note: it seems like you are messing it up but at the end it should all come together. Once you have flipped the square so that the blue sticker is facing up rotate JUST the up face to put another unsolved square in the bottom right of the up face. Repeat this procedure until you have completed the blue face.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have solved the Rubik's pocket cube.
